I wandered lonely as a cloud...

I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed—and gazed—but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils. - William Wordsworth

We are but minutes

We are but minutes - little things Each one furnished with sixty wings, With each we fly on our unseen track, And not a minute ever comes back. We are but minutes - yet each one bears  A little burden of joys and cares, Patiently take the minutes of pain, The worst of minutes cannot remain. We are but minutes - when we bring A few of the drops from pleasure's spring,  Taste their sweetness while we stay, It takes but a minute to fly away. We are but minutes - use us well, For how we are used we must one day tell;  Who uses us has hours to use, Who loses minutes, whole years must lose. -Anonymous

The Example

Here's an example from A Butterfly; That on a rough, hard rock Happy can lie; Friendless and all alone On this unsweetened stone. Now let my bed be hard, No care take I; I'll make my joy like this Small Butterfly; Whose happy heart has power To make a stone a flower. - William Henry Davies

Love comes to those...

Love comes to those,  who still hope, although they have been disappointed;  To those, who still believe, although they've been betrayed; To those, who still need to love, although they've been hurt before; And to those,  who have the courage and faith to build trust again! Image courtesy: Pixabay

To be 'Dad'.....

Once a carefree bird, I mended my ways   For an angel who came to me and blessed all my days She gave me so much, and she filled my heart We've come a long way now, till here, from the start.... But now, I trust - I've given all I had; For today, am a changed man - 'cause now, am a Dad! To be 'Dad'...what is it to be Dad?  From a carefree dude with not a care in the world; to a dad, with the tender heart and worry lines etched on the brow, 'Dad' has come a long way indeed! It all began when I got my first taste of freedom - the financial independence and being able to tell my Mom, "Here, let me take care of this..."

Moments....

Thats all we get. Yes, thats all we ever get....moments with people we love.........what is the guarantee that what is there today will stay tomorrow? Who says what you have will stay with you? Where is the assurance that what you dont have today will or will not come to you ever? No guarantees....no assurances......nothing like that......life just doesn't work that way..... Everybody tells you what to do....how to do things.....where to go.....but do they know any better? No! Nobody has any idea what life has in store for you...well they dont even know awaits them on the next corner, let alone knowing about you.....they are just trying to help....be nice.....with no idea what you are going through.....the only person who will ever know with any clarity how you are feeling is you....because its only you who experienced.....nobody is even remotely aware....they may have been in the same place once...but then every person reacts to situations in a totally different way. Every ...

The Lone Ranger

'No man is an island', someone once said 'its invitation to danger, its invitation to dread' 'Bring on the dread, bring on the danger, I'll take my chances', said the lone ranger.... This is the story of the lone ranger . This person is individualistic and prefers to do things by himself. This is a person who has always managed things independently and has learnt to ace it. It could be any one of us. This story is about that one person amongst us who is fiercely independent, who likes to do things his own way, who is not comfortable with anybody else's way of doing things. This lone ranger could be born out of necessity, out of choice, or could be the result of upbringing or could simply be because there was no other way out......whatever the reason, the lone ranger walks his chosen path, all alone, most of the time seen by others, (mostly wrongly), as a selfish person or someone who finds it difficult to adjust or comply.......this is his si...
