Live the life, not the lifestyle....

I read a simple little sentence recently : Live the life, not the lifestyle. Outwardly, this is a very simple sentence that sounds very intelligent and all, but really, it seems to have so much of meaning hidden that I just couldn't stop myself from jotting down my thoughts on its manifold deep ramifications. How many times have we heard our elders say "such was not the case in our times..." Why, even we tell our kids so many times, "you are lucky, you know; things were much different when we were young..." What does this tell us? Times change....so do circumstances. What is there today may not be tomorrow, and what was yesterday, might have disappeared somewhere down the line...without us even noticing what happened...

Moments....

Thats all we get. Yes, thats all we ever get....moments with people we love.........what is the guarantee that what is there today will stay tomorrow? Who says what you have will stay with you? Where is the assurance that what you dont have today will or will not come to you ever? No guarantees....no assurances......nothing like that......life just doesn't work that way..... Everybody tells you what to do....how to do things.....where to go.....but do they know any better? No! Nobody has any idea what life has in store for you...well they dont even know awaits them on the next corner, let alone knowing about you.....they are just trying to help....be nice.....with no idea what you are going through.....the only person who will ever know with any clarity how you are feeling is you....because its only you who experienced.....nobody is even remotely aware....they may have been in the same place once...but then every person reacts to situations in a totally different way. Every ...

i Am Smart

Festival time!! You take lots of colorful pictures....you make a lot of lovely videos with your children and your visiting family and friends.....and then you share  the pictures with those members of your family and friends that have missed out on the fun....wow! pretty simple huh?.....Of course! With my smart phone I can do all that and much more.....I can browse the net, have access to my emails, I can share my work and leisure with my friends, I can chat with them any time of day and night......all with just my smart phone!

The Jack of All Trades

Hey guys, its been really long since I fought the biggest hindrance in a blogger's life-laziness-and wrote anything. But then the mere thought of y'all forgetting me was so overwhelming that I decided to say hello, at least! Now you must be wondering what I have been doing all this while...well, other than fighting laziness, of course.....(although, its not totally untrue to say I haven't wondered the same myself....really...what HAVE I been doing?).....although its always easy to escape to the most rehearsed answer, working, of course! But today, I felt this inexplicable need to share my thoughts....not that I haven't felt the need to share my thoughts during my 'lazy break', but today I decided to make time and actually share my thoughts....( a positive sign, surely...) Now, while I have been away from you guys...well, I have done quite a few things actually

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I logged on to Facebook today and saw a pic of one of my college friends. Nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks! Now you must think...awww, college, no wonder, 'those were the days'....'ah the good old college days'....no, none of that.....this was pure nostalgia for my friend, who has now been separated from me for the last decade (decade, really?)...and has disappeared somewhere in this large abyss of life!

Making sense of the 'ad'

Log on to Facebook, you see a video that your friend has posted which already has a lot of 'shares' and 'likes', you want to check it out for yourself, you click 'play' and instead of the video, an advertisement begins....and you have to wait another minute before your video begins.....sounds familiar? Advertisements, or ads, are found all over the internet today. As part of videos posted on the internet, flashing and distracting internet users by flanking both the sides of most of the pages on the internet.....it is very common to see these commercials, so common that nobody finds it annoying anymore. (Some advertisements, though, have a 'close' button so that you can skip watching the ad altogether......but the ads are there all the same.

Use the internet to your advantage...

Of all the animals Mother Nature created, man was the only animal she bestowed the gift of brain on; or rather, the ability to reason. And what a gift that turned out to be! It was this gift that made man different from all the other animals. From the earliest times, man made good use of this gift and used it adroitly to keep him always one step ahead of all the other animals.Since the earliest known times man has always been in the search for the new, for the better and for the more convenient. He started with the invention of fire and the wheel, and has never looked back since. He went on to invent the internet and all the other smart technology inventions using this very wonderful gift.
